A perfect example is their “Rose’ on the Bay” second annual event held in July that promoted connections between almost 50 women for an evening of fun, wine, food and opportunity drawings (including shopping sprees, dinners, wine and original artwork)—all while raising awareness of KidWorks’ programs and generating $4,000 net in just a few hours.
We thank Karen Cook, who hosted the event at her beautiful bayfront home on Lido Island. KidWorks also thanks the Rose’ on the Bay committee: Kim Carpenter, Karen Cook, Lori McKay, Sandy DeYoung and Ellen Small. KidWorks is also grateful to Kim Carpenter and Dean Grey for donating the wonderful GrayPez rose’ wine enjoyed at the event.
Women’s Committee Chair Kyle Team says, “I am overwhelmed with the leadership, generosity and hospitality of this team. The event was an overwhelming success and we are so grateful for the support and partnership of all these amazing women.”
The Women’s Committee is hard at work on the third Pickleball for a Purpose tournament, scheduled for Oct. 8 at the Tennis Club at Newport Beach. The event is always a sell out, so reserve early. More information and sponsorship info is at: https://kidworksoc.org/pickleball.
