We see God at work every day and ask that you pray alongside our church and faith partners as you are able.

We believe God is at work every day in the lives of KidWorks students & families, staff and community. We ask you to pray alongside us.

Prayer Requests

For Our Fall Season

• Pray for a strong start to the school year. Ask God to give our students confidence, focus, and a strong sense of belonging as they settle into a new school year. Pray for staff and volunteers as they create safe, encouraging environments where students can learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships.
• Pray for our high school seniors navigating college applications. Ask God to give our seniors wisdom, confidence, and perseverance as they work through applications, essays, financial aid, and decisions about their futures. Pray that they would trust God with each step and feel supported by their families, mentors, and KidWorks staff.
• Pray for our students’ continued growth and well-being. Lift up the academic, emotional, spiritual, and relational needs of our students throughout the fall. May they grow in resilience, discover their gifts, and continue developing into confident young people who know their purpose and potential.

For Our Holiday Season 

• Pray for our annual Christmas Store. Ask God to bless every detail of the Christmas Store—from donations and volunteers to logistics and distribution. Pray that this would be more than an event, but an opportunity for families to experience generosity, dignity, joy, and the love of their community.
• Pray for meaningful Christmas celebrations for our families. Lift up the Christmas celebrations happening throughout KidWorks. Pray that students and families would experience joy, connection, and a true sense of belonging during the holiday season, especially those who may be facing financial hardship or difficult circumstances.
• Pray for families who may experience grief or hardship during the holidays. Ask God to draw especially close to families navigating loss, illness, financial uncertainty, or difficult transitions. May they experience His peace, comfort, and provision during what can be a particularly challenging season.

For Our New Spoke Center 

• Pray for the launch of our new spoke center in January. Ask God to guide every detail as we prepare to open this new space and expand KidWorks’ presence in the community. Pray for wisdom, provision, strong community relationships, and the right staff and volunteers to help establish a welcoming environment where students and families can thrive.
• Pray for a strong foundation for the new spoke center. As this new location begins serving the community, pray that it would quickly become a place of belonging, opportunity, and transformation. May God open doors for meaningful partnerships and allow KidWorks to build trust with families and community leaders.

For Families Facing Loss, Illness & Transition 

• Many in our community are navigating seasons of grief, uncertainty, and hardship due to government pressure. Please pray for God’s peace, protection, and comfort to be deeply felt by these families. 
• We also ask for prayer over several families, particularly single mothers, facing economic and emotional hardships. May they experience tangible provision, clarity, and peace in God’s perfect timing. 

For Our Students, Alumni & Staff 

• Pray for the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of all KidWorks students and staff. Many are experiencing anxiety or overwhelm. Ask God to fill them with a sense of belonging, confidence, and a deep awareness of His love, especially those transitioning to college or high school. 
• Pray for students and community members who are struggling in their personal relationships. May they feel supported and find peace and clarity as they navigate complex emotions and circumstances, trusting in God’s timing and care. 
• Pray for high school seniors as they prepare to graduate and move on to college. Pray for their parents as they navigate this new season of many changes. Pray for confidence and safety for students going to universities in other cities or states.

For New Opportunities  

• Pray for new volunteers, partners, and program enrichment opportunities for our students. May our partnerships continue to grow in 2026 with individuals and companies who care deeply for KidWorks students.
• Pray for the Mentor Program’s continued growth. May the existing relationships between mentors and mentees be strengthened and fruitful. May students and mentors alike feel encouraged as they exit the program.
• Pray for more faith-related partnerships to come to fruition for our youth this summer, that more students will know the love and comfort of God.

Prayers of Praise & Gratitude

• This year, KidWorks launched a youth Unity Council made up of ambitious and bright young students who have taken charge of planning youth nights, including the annual youth Lock-In (overnight) event in January. Each event has included a faith component and we are excited to see the students continue to seek the Lord.
