Fun. Faith. Philanthropy.
That’s the exciting focus of the newly formed “KidWorks Women,” (KWW), an auxiliary group of dedicated friends who’ve formalized their individual volunteering into ongoing support of our students.
KWW supports the entire family to ensure student success, creating self-reliant young adults who are equipped for life and career, and who are making a difference by giving back to their community.
KWW has already been behind such successful activities as our women’s pickleball tournament, Rose’ on the Bay, prayer walks and ongoing service projects.
They also work to build faith in God within our students through Bible studies and other projects. Their philanthropy focus includes hands-on service projects and other engagement opportunities throughout the year.
“For almost 30 years, KidWorks has provided academic support and leadership development programs that empower students on their journey from pre-kindergarten through their college years,” says KWW Chair Kyle Team. She is also a member of the KidWorks board.
Kyle adds, “Our goal is to share the joy found in being a part of something bigger than ourselves. We hope other women will join us!”
The founding leadership team includes Kathy Ursini and Kim Carpenter for social activities; Charlene Calish and Kristen McGuinness for spiritual activities; and Camille Strader and Stephanie Peleuses for service activities. Strategic advisor is development professional Betsy Flint.
Women interested in joining the KWW can learn more by contacting Lisa Gels, our Associate Director of Development at: lisa.gels@kidworksoc.org
