The KidWorks Class of 2021 has a lot to celebrate. 100% of KidWorks high school seniors are continuing their education this fall, despite college enrollment being down by 7.2% at the national level for incoming freshman.
We honored our KidWorks seniors at our annual Noche de las Estrellas (Night of the Stars), at Newsong Church. Parents, friends, staff and mentors gathered to honor the KidWorks Class of 2021 and bless them as they head off to college.
Senior Cecilia Angel gave the commencement speech and reminded her classmates that if you can overcome a pandemic, you can overcome anything! KidWorks parent, Yadira Mora encouraged students to leave a legacy for the next generations of students.
Pastor Ed Salas from Newsong church concluded the evening with a blessing and charge to the graduates, reminding them the power of words. He invited parents to come up and speak words of encouragement to their sons and daughters as they embark on this new chapter of life.
We are proud of our graduates and can’t wait to see how God uses them in the coming years.
