KidWorks Christmas Store: A Gift for Every Student

For many KidWorks families, being able to purchase Christmas gifts is not always financially possible.

This is especially true this year when a significant number of parents with students enrolled in our programs have experienced job loss and other increased hardships because of COVID-19.

To serve the needs of our families, KidWorks will be once again offering our Christmas store, with a new approach because of COVID. This year we will be to provide these parents with gift cards from Walmart and Target stores, rather than an in-person event at our center which would not be safe to hold this holiday season.

WE HAVE ONE GOAL FOR THIS YEAR’S CHRISTMAS STORE:
A GIFT FOR EVERY STUDENT.

Here’s how you can help.  Purchase as many $30 gift cards as you’d like from Walmart and Target, either online or in-person at their stores.

For gift cards purchased online, please direct that they be shipped to:

KidWorks “Christmas Store”
c/o KidWorks
1902 W. Chestnut Ave.
Santa Ana, CA  92703

If you purchase physical gift cards they can either be mailed to KidWorks or dropped off at the KidWorks’ Dan Donahue Center. Because our hours are restricted due to the pandemic, please call us in advance to verify a time for your visit.  Our telephone number is:  714.834.9400

What makes the Christmas Store and gift card opportunity so special for these parents is that it offers them a sense of being able to provide for their families.  They are able to buy gifts for their children to make the holidays brighter.  By purchasing the gift cards at a nominal cost instead of receiving them for free they feel respected and empowered.

KidWorks will deliver gift cards to our families on December 10th.

Please order gift cards online by December 2nd or hand-deliver them to KidWorks by December 9th to ensure enough time for delivery.

KidWorks will send each donor a thank you letter acknowledging the contribution for their tax records.

Interested in knowing more?  Please contact KidWorks’ at:  714-834-9400.

Your help will help continue our 18-year tradition of creating holiday smiles!
