Because of YOUR faithful support and partnership, KidWorks was able to accomplish the following:
For the eighth year in a row, 100% of our high school seniors graduated on time and each one enrolled in a college/university.
An impressive 89% of our preschool graduates were assessed as kindergarten ready (compared to 44% of Orange County preschool students overall).
73% of KidWorks students who are the first in their family to attend a college or university are on track to graduate with a degree (compared to 27% of such Orange County students overall).
We celebrated a full return to on-site programs that were impacted by the pandemic: after school tutoring, our KidWorks University enrichment programs, Campus Crash visits by students to universities and colleges to continue their academic careers beyond high school, plus spring/summer activities that included field trips, wilderness camps and Bible study.
For three years in a row, KidWorks earned a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, the widely recognized premier independent and third-party evaluator of non-profits. A four-star rating is the highest possible rating from Charity Navigator.
Our Foundation for Success luncheon returned as an in-person event after a two-year hiatus, honoring Terry Donahue, legendary UCLA head football coach.
We added staff in critical areas to support initiatives such as academics, family and community engagement and our College & Career Success Initiative™ (CCSI), which prepares first generation college students for higher education beyond high school and then towards meaningful careers.
On behalf of KidWorks board, staff and families, we wish you a happy and healthy 2023. We can’t wait to share with you our plans for 2023
