Welcoming KidWorks back to the Bishop Manor neighborhood of Santa Ana!
KidWorks Bishop Manor (KBM) is up & running! KBM opened up in October 2025, welcoming up to 60 students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade.
Bishop Manor first opened in 2012 but was forced to close in 2020 due to water damage and the impact of the COVID pandemic. Now, Bishop Manor is back, stronger than ever. More than just a reopening, the spoke center has been reimagined, with improvements that include:
Our grand opening was dedicated to the families in the community who have patiently awaited the return of KidWorks—a place that supports their children both personally and academically. This event was a celebration of their unwavering support, which has been instrumental in reopening KidWorks at Bishop Manor.
In July 2025, the Bishop Manor community celebrated the completion of a brand, new playground in their complex. The ribbon cutting ceremony featured a beautiful mural, a tour of the new playground, and a few words from Robert Alcaras, the Board President of Bishop Manor HOA, who has worked tirelessly to bring KidWorks back to Bishop Manor. The playground will be a source of joy and belonging for the new center.

My name is Eva Ochoa. I first joined KidWorks in 2011 as a student when I began high school. KidWorks played a pivotal role in helping me believe in myself and instilled in me the determination to succeed, no matter the circumstances. My college journey was not always easy—it was a true roller coaster—but with perseverance, I was able to graduate with my bachelor’s degree in educational studies from Grand Canyon University. I am excited about the reopening of KidWorks at Bishop Manor because it represents an opportunity to provide students and the community with the tools they need to thrive. What excites me even more is that I am returning to KidWorks as a Site Supervisor, where I can now help other children believe in themselves, just as KidWorks once helped me.

All learning takes place in a safe, fun, and high quality program that fits the needs of both you and your child.
When a child believes in themself, a world of possibilities unfolds. Students develop the character, confidence, and tools to reach one’s God-given potential.
Life transformation happens in relationship. Students develop safe bonds with staff, mentors, and volunteers.
Every child is a leader. Using Franklin Covey’s “Leader in Me” curriculum, students develop the knowledge, compassion, and skills to discover their personal leadership strengths and in turn give back to the community.
Homework help and individualized tutoring ensure students stay on track academically. KidWorks workshops and field trips enable students to discover their own passions and talents in the fields of art, dance, sports, STEM, and more!
