Santa Ana has one of the largest youth populations in California. For decades, it has also been “park poor.” That means that children, youth and families in the city had very limited community recreation areas, green spaces, bike lanes or skate parks. Nearly 31% of the population of Santa Ana is under 18-years-old, making it one the youngest cities in the U.S. Beginning in 2016, a group of KidWorks youth set out to change all that.
KidWorks event committees are comprised of corporate and community volunteers who assist in the planning, fundraising, execution, and post-production follow-up for each KidWorks signature event.
KidWorks Women is a vibrant group of influential and philanthropic-minded women who join forces to serve the students at KidWorks. We support the entire family to ensure student success, creating self-reliant young adults, who are equipped for life and career, and who are making a difference by giving back to their community.
KidWorks philanthropy and outreach committee are key volunteers who work alongside staff to raise funds and awareness for KidWorks Programs.
Young Professionals for KidWorks represent working professionals who are new in their career from a wide-range of industries in Orange County and are dedicated to making a lasting impact in the communities that they live and work.
